We didn’t fall of end of the earth, but we have been busy and just now have the time and internet to update everyone. Despite the bad moving experience, we are now settled in here in Dresden and are trying to enjoy our summer and fix up the house before school starts in September and the Benson’s arrival in October.
Praise Him for:
The good trip we had to Greece for an all Europe employee meeting. It was very hot but we were able to enjoy the pool everyday and enjoyed seeing many colleagues we don’t see often. We also were able to get some current information and hear a sermon in our heart language.
a phone and internet! We were able to get connected fairly quickly after we moved in. Several colleagues have had some long delays in getting connected so we were pleased it only took a week or so for us.
Please intercede for:
The housing situation in Graz. We left not knowing whether another family was moving in and the landlords were being very unhelpful and rude. Pr*y that the family did indeed move in and that we will be able to get back a large portion of our deposit. Also, we had to leave some things there in Graz (the movers weren’t able to fit it all in the truck) so intercede that we won’t have to do something with those things.
Our visa process. Our German visas expired before we returned to Dresden and we were unable to officially receive permission to be gone for a year. So, we have made an appointment for October and are in the process of gathering all of the necessary documents. The process has become much more complicated and we are now required to get new birth certs and apostilles for them. Pr*y that we get all of the paperwork in on time and that we are able to get the visas without problems!
In the next few weeks, I will begin to look for an apartment for the Benson’s. Ask Him that we will find a place that meets their needs as a family of five but also is close to public transportation and has good schools and preschools for their kids.
